Apple CEO and other top executives might get new successors soon

A new report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman shows Chief Executive Officer and other top positions might get new successors. Craig Federighi being the youngest (51), most of the top positions in the company are placed with people approaching retirement. Apple plans to fill top positions with younger generation leaders.

Jony Ive’s departure from Apple showed potential chances for a younger generation of leaders. Also, Apple veteran Phil Schiller who served the company from the ’90s as Vice President of World Wide Product Marketing has been moved to an Apple Fellow role recently.

Jeff Williams might be the next Chief Executive Officer since he shares a similar ideology with Steve Jobs in being a good leader rather than focusing on a single product. It is said that he shares similarities with the current CEO Tim Cook.

Apple’s growth has been tremendous from a small garage to a multibillion-dollar company. In that growth, the role of leadership has a good part. Only time will tell us what the future holds for Apple. Meanwhile, let’s hope with the placement of younger leaders the Cupertino tech giants will continue its success journey.
