Recently, Sling TV launched a new feature on its live TV streaming service called “Watch Party.”

This enables its users to watch with other Sling TV users, preferably family and friends, so they can stream programs together.

With people being told to stay in and not attend public events, a feature like this comes at a great time and gets people together, especially in these odd times in the U.S.

Here is how you can use this feature on your Sling TV account:

  • Sign in to Sling TV on its website.
  • Once you have entered the TV interface of Sling TV, go to the channel guide and pick which program you want to watch.
  • When you click on one, click the “Create Watch Party” button.

  • From there, the session will be created and you can share the link to your Watch Party with friends and family that have Sling TV accounts.

Please note that in order to do this, you must be using Google Chrome and on a computer. At this time it does not work on Safari or Firefox, and it does not work on devices like the iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.

This feature is available for both Sling Orange and Sling Blue customers.

Sling TV costs $30 a month and is available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.

Are you going to start using this new feature on Sling TV? Let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy.
