Apple announces MacBook Pro with Apple M1 Chip

Apple during their “One More Thing” event on Tuesday announced the new MacBook Pro with M1. The new custom made processor enables features like Instant-Wake from sleep, 20 hours of video playback and upto 2.8x the performance of previous MacBook Pro. Apple also claims 5x the graphical performance of the outgoing model with “fastest integrated graphics” in any notebook.

Long rumoured Apple Silicon 13-inch MacBook Pro is available to customers now. With first shipments due to arrive on 17th November. The new models with M1 replace the old 8th-generation intel core i5 models with Two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports. Pro now gets Wi-Fi 6, Studio-Quality microphones, impressive performance increments and an active cooling system paired with M1. Apple has also updated the Two Thunderbolt 3 ports to now support USB 4 and Thunderbolt 4 specification alongside unified memory for the integrated graphics and the CPU. The new laptops follow the same design language with Magic Keyboard and with Touch Bar & Touch ID. Apple also claims upto 11x faster machine learning from this MacBook Pro.
MacBook Pro with M1 starts at $1299 with 8GB unified memory & 256GB internal SSD storage. It can be configured upto 16GB memory with 2TB storage. 

MacBook Pro with M1 is on sale, with first shipments arriving on November 17th.
