Locast has gotten off to a quick start to expanding to more local TV markets in 2021.

Last week, the service opened up its market in Madison, Wisconsin.

Today, the free live TV streaming service non-profit company announced that it has expanded to both Charlotte, North Carolina and Orlando, Florida.

This is the first time Locast has been made available in North Carolina.

Last year, the company launched its Florida coverage in Miami, West Palm Beach and Tampa Bay.

With today’s launch in the Charlotte, North Carolina, users of the service will get access to 45 channels in the market, which are WCNC NBC 36, WJZY FOX 46, WSOC ABC 9, WBTV CBS 3, PBS and PBS Kids as well as CourtTV Mystery, AntennaTV, Telemundo, Circle, The CW, BOUNCE, Movies!, LAFF, Mystery, ION, GRIT, True Crime, Charge! and more.

In Orlando, Florida, users over there will have access to WESH NBC 2, WOFL FOX 35, WFTV ABC 9, WKMG CBS 6, PBS and PBS Kids as well as The Florida Channel, CourtTV, AntennaTV, Telemundo, Univision, Azteca America, Estrella TV, The CW, BOUNCE, Movies!, My Network TV, LAFF, Mystery, GRIT, ION, CometTV, True Crime, Charge! and other local channels.

With Locast, users can watch all of these channels for free as long as they have an account with the service, which again, is free to do. They will get an ad from the service after 15 minutes of usage.

To avoid getting the ad, users can pay as low as $5 a month to be able to simply stream their local stations with no ads from the service itself. There will still be ads from the stations.

Locast is available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
