It was announced last month that once Paramount+ launched, the CBS app on the Apple TV third generation would lose support and functionality.
Fortunately, for those who still only have an Apple TV third generation as their primary home streaming device, there is a way to get Paramount+ directly through that Apple TV.
The way to do this is going to be by subscribing to Paramount+ through Apple TV Channels, which can be done in the Apple TV app on the Apple TV itself. It can be done through a device like the iPhone, iPad or Mac too.
Once you are subscribed to Paramount+ through Apple TV Channels, you will be able to subscribe and watch content from that streaming service right through the Apple TV app on the Apple TV third generation.
Of course, there is always the option to AirPlay content from the Paramount+ app on the iPhone or iPad, but the directions above show you how to watch it all from an app already on the Apple TV third generation.
