While recent rumors expected Apple’s next iPhones to feature LTPO displays, analyst Ross Young believed that those displays will come to not one, but two models. These displays will allow the next iPhone’s refresh rate to run up to 120Hz. Similar to the Apple Watch and iPad Pro, these displays offer variable refresh rates. Thus, the iPhone 13 could offer the always-on feature just like on the Apple Watch.
Recent rumors reported that Apple will retain the same number of models from last year. This would include an iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Note that these names are not official yet, but from pure speculation. Most notably, the iPhone mini model will stick around for another year; however, it might go away starting in 2022.
We may assume that both iPhone 13 Pro models will sport the LTPO displays. Recent rumors reported that Samsung will be the main supplier for these displays. Other features we can expect for these iPhones are an A15 chip and improved cameras.
