In a new report, Apple could be announcing a new subscription service based on podcasts.
Apple is rumored to be working on a new service aimed at podcasts, with a new report suggesting that it is very soon.
According to Vox’s Peter Kafka, Cupertino will unveil a podcast subscription service tomorrow at its first major event, being the “Spring Loaded” event.

MacRumors’ Steve Moser found more evidence on a new service inside iOS 14.5 where the Podcasts app is showing an account button just like on Apple Music, hinting at a new “Podcasts+” service.

A new podcast service could be very similar to Apple TV+ where original content can be watched, and with Podcasts+, Apple may throw in some original podcasts only available on the service and include the subscription in Apple One.
Apple has been planning since last year to purchase original podcasts to compete with Spotify and looks like the time has come to listen to them. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long for this service as it is speculated that it will be announced tomorrow during Apple’s Spring Loaded Event.
