Things on Snapchat can now be seen through a different lens.

Snapchat officially now has Dark Mode in its iOS app thanks to its update on Tuesday, May 24 (Version 11.29.0.36), and that means that the appearance of the app will show up with a darker look.

To activate this, follow the following steps:

  • Open Snapchat
  • Tap on your profile image/Snap code in the top-left corner
  • Tap on the Settings gear in the top-right corner
  • Scroll down to App Appearance in the My Account section
  • Select “Always Dark.”

From there, you should have Snapchat Dark Mode on your select device.

This will work on devices such as the iPhone and iPod Touch, as well as the iPad since when it is on an iPadOS device, it is technically the iOS app.

Do you plan on using Dark Mode on Snapchat now? Have you already used it previously? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Comment below or let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy.
