After introducing Mini-LED on this year’s flagship iPad Pro, Apple is rumored to adopt more OLED screens in “some” iPads next year.

This news follows similar reports back in December suggesting that Apple will introduce OLED displays on the iPad next year.

According to ET Korea, Apple is expected to introduce OLED displays on some iPads in 2022. The exact models to be updated from LCD to OLED are unknown. The outlet expects Samsung and LG to be the suppliers for the displays.

iPhones and Apple Watches are currently the only Apple products to feature OLED displays while the latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro features Mini-LED technology. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is expecting the iPad Air to be the first iPad to feature OLED in 2022.

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro is the latest iPad to sport the best display on any iPad, with Mini-LED display technology – which gives higher brightness, better contrast, and deeper blacks – behind the nearly 13-inch screen.
