Streaming on the Apple TV got even more interesting on Tuesday with the launch of the XUMO tvOS app.

By launching this new app on the Apple TV, it gives users just another option of content to watch, in the already abundant streaming TV war.

XUMO works a lot like Pluto TV, but with some differences in the type of content available.

Sure, users can still expect to get news channels like NBC News Now, ABC News Live and Newsmax TV, but the service does have other non-news channels like Hallmark Movies & More, History Channel Shorts, as well as sports channels like FOX Sports (not live, circulated replayed content), PAC 12 Insider and fubo Sports Network.

XUMO has its own lineup of on-demand movies and TV shows too, such as Bryan Cranston’s “The Infiltrator” and “Brick Mansions” with Paul Walker.

It’s a completely free ad-supported streaming service that is also available on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

Do you plan on streaming XUMO today, soon or sometime this summer? Comment below or let us know on Twitter at @appleosophy.
