Apple’s next iPhones will debut in September and some rumors are claiming that this year’s iPhone lineup will feature a much bigger battery.

According to a Weibo rumor shared by Twitter leaker @L0vetodream, the iPhone 13 Pro Max will have a 4352mAh battery, while the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro will sport a smaller 3095mAh. The smallest of the lineup of them all iPhone 13 mini, will have a 3095mAh battery.

In comparison, the current iPhone 12 Pro Max features a 3687mAh, while iPhone 12 and 12 Pro both sports a 2815mAh. The best small iPhone currently the iPhone 12 mini have a 2227mAh.

While battery capacities on iPhones are “on-paper” smaller than most of the competition, Apple’s software and hardware optimization with iOS and the A-series chips provide half of the work. Cupertino’s partner TSMC has started producing the A15 chip for the upcoming iPhone.

The larger batteries will help Apple with integrating 120Hz ProMotion technology on the upcoming iPhones. Apple is expected to feature 120Hz refresh rate displays on 2021 iPhones, but some analysts are only expecting the Pro Max model to have the display feature.
