Apple Podcasts Subscriptions to Debut Next Tuesday, June 15

After a two delays from its originally-scheduled May release, according to an email obtained by The Verge, Apple Podcasts Subscriptions is launching next Tuesday, June 15.

Apple writes that they are “Pleased to share that Apple Podcasts Subscriptions and channels will launch worldwide on Tuesday, June 15.”

After some major hiccups and a delay, Apple Podcasts says it’s launching in-app subscriptions next week. Apple announced its rumored Podcasts Subscriptions service in the company’s previous “Spring Loaded” event last April.

The platform will enable podcasters to offer paid audio content to subscribers, like subscribers-only or ad-free episodes.
