Live TV streaming services have taken over the country when it comes to watching live TV, and at a cheaper price than traditional cable and satellite.
Yesterday, it was announced that YouTube TV received a 4K Plus add-on for an additional $19.99 a month. This new feature enables users to stream content in 4K when it is available, unlimited active streams at home and give users the ability to make DVR recordings available offline (only for mobile devices like an iPhone or iPad).
As of this article, here are the current live and on-demand 4K content networks on YouTube TV: ESPN, Discovery, FX, FOX Sports, NBC Sports, Tastemade and National Geographic.
When those networks have 4K content available to stream live, there will be a 4K Plus logo in the channel guide that indicates that 4K content is currently on.
However, at this time, the only Apple device that will be able to get the YouTube TV 4K add-on support is the 2021 Apple TV 4K.
YouTube TV currently costs $64.99 a month and is available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
