We’re just a couple of months away from the anticipated iPhone 13 announcement, and we’ve always have some new rumors on which features are coming. In 2019, Apple introduced WiFi 6 with the iPhone 11, and since then it has made it ways to most of the recent iPad models as well as Macs with Apple Silicon. WiFi 6, aka 802.11ax, offers faster speeds and better security over WiFi 5. This new standard called WiFi 6E will be a minimal upgrade of WiFi 6, but this time, it will feature an additional 6GHz for increased sandwich and less interference for WiFi 6E-supported devices.
According to Digitimes, Apple plans to introduce the standard on its upcoming iPhone 13 lineup, and it will become the standard for other Apple devices for the foreseeable feature. That report also collaborated with a recent rumor that the LiDAR Scanner will remain exclusive to the upcoming Pro models. We should expect to see the iPhone 13 this fall with improvements on battery life, display, performance, and camera.
