The people in Canada may soon have another streaming service to enjoy later this month.
During its Q2 conference call on Friday, AMC announced that it would be launching its own streaming service, AMC+, on Apple TV Channels on the Apple TV app later this month.
For those who do not know, Apple TV Channels enables users to subscribe to select streaming services like AMC+, Paramount+, Hallmark Movies Now, Showtime, Starz and others, but managing and watching the content is all done right from within the Apple TV app.
Content on the AMC+ comes from the other set of AMC Networks that include AMC, BBC America, IFC, Shudder, Sundance TV, Sundance Now and IFC Films Unlimited.
What makes this even more interesting is that AMC+ will be getting some of the new episodes of the upcoming final season of “The Walking Dead” before they air on the AMC channel on cable, satellite and live TV streaming services.
The eleventh season of the series has been stated to start airing on Sunday, August 22, on AMC.
At this time, there is no timeline for when AMC+ will be arriving on Apple TV Channels in Canada, but we here at Appleosophy will do our best to kepp you informed on when it happens.
In the U.S. AMC+ on Apple TV Channels costs $8.99 a month.
