One of the most popular third-party calendar apps has made quite the update to its Apple Watch app.
Fantastical by Flexibits has updated its Apple Watch app so users can see not only the date but also which day of the week it is.
This was actually discovered by me within the past day or so, as highlighted in the tweet below (image in the top-left corner).
I saw yesterday evening that the #Fantastical complication on my  Watch (top-left corner) now has a new look and I like it! Great that we can see the day of the week it is now without having to open the app too. #AppleWatch pic.twitter.com/c8JiKFChfG

Previously, the app had a circular icon and would say the date, but not show which day of the week it is.
So glad to have @CARROT_app back on my  Watch face. It’s the best weather-based complication in the #watchOS @AppStore. #AppleWatch #CARROT #Weather pic.twitter.com/qBfZbcp2AL

This may not be a big deal to some users, but for someone like me that works a job with odd hours and days off, sometimes you need that simple reminder of what day it is outside of the date.
In the app, users are able to add calendar events and reminders, view their local weather for when those events occur, as well as view them from a widget on their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
Fantastical is a free app in the App Store with in-app purchase options starting at $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year. It is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac.
