Just in time for the holiday season, YouTube TV has added a number of channels that are considered to be “the home” for the holidays.

As of yesterday, YouTube TV has added Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and the Hallmark Drama channels to its channel lineup.

Previously, YouTube TV subscribers’ only way of having access to Hallmark programming was through the Hallmark Movies Now add-on for an additional $7.99 a month.

With the additional of these Hallmark networks to YouTube TV, viewers will now be able to watch all of Hallmark’s program offerings, which include its 2021 Countdown to Christmas original movies. New movies premiere each Saturday and Sunday night throughout the holiday season.

Wonya Lucas, Crown Media President and CEO, said this is the perfect time for these channels to be added to the live TV streaming service.

“Coinciding with the kick-off of Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Miracles of Christmas the launch of our linear networks on YouTube TV is perfectly timed, allowing the service’s customers to join the tens of millions of viewers who have made our networks the country’s most beloved seasonal destination and indisputable leader in holiday programming,” she said. “Our content, rooted in celebration, joy, optimism, and human connection, has never been more in demand, and we are confident the addition of Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama adds tremendous value to YouTube TV’s offerings and will be instant favorites among subscribers.”

YouTube TV customers will get the networks’ live and on-demand offerings, as well as options to DVR content as well.

Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and Hallmark Drama are still cheaper to stream live and on-demand through Frndly TV, which starts at just $5.99 a month. However, this does give YouTube TV the ability to compete with Frndly TV, Philo, Sling TV and fuboTV, which all have those channels too.

YouTube TV currently costs $64.99 a month and is available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac.
