TuneIn, an app where users can stream live radio stations, music and podcasts, officially has SharePlay support.

Now users can start a FaceTime call and listen to a podcast together at once. The FaceTime call can be up to 32 people and works on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Mac. Each device must run iOS 15.1 or newer.

This all comes as part of the app’s Version 22.2.0 update:

  • Listen with your friends and family! TuneIn now supports SharePlay to pause, play, and select podcast episodes with other listeners on FaceTime.
  • Fixed a bug to ensure your phone’s screen will dim and lock properly when not interacting.

TuneIn is a free app and service and does have TuneIn Premium that costs $9.99 a month. Those features include the following:

Ӣ Live Sports: Never miss a moment with live home radio broadcasts of every single NFL and NHL game, plus the biggest college football and basketball teams.

Ӣ News with Fewer Ad Breaks: Keep up with breaking news with fewer ad breaks from CNBC, CNN, FOX News Radio, MSNBC, and more.

Ӣ Commercial-Free Music: Enjoy curated music stations, nonstop with no ads.

Ӣ Fewer Ads: Hear 100,000+ radio stations with fewer ads and commercial breaks.

Disney+ was one of the first media streaming-based apps to start supporting SharePlay that started earlier this week.

TuneIn available to stream on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and CarPlay.
