It appears as though the Uber app is no longer functional on the Apple Watch.

MacRumors has reported that Uber got rid of support on the Apple Watch app silently last month. However, its app is still available for download in the watchOS App Store.

Uber has updated its support page on its website to show that it no longer has Apple Watch support on its app. It has not been stated when its Apple Watch app will be removed from the App Store.

Its app had been functional on the Apple Watch since it first launched in 2015, but its iPhone app always had more features for users.

Additionally, it should be noted that Uber’s competitor Lyft does not currently have an Apple Watch app either, and has not had one since 2018.

It is technically impossible to remove a Apple Watch app from sale once it has been published (Apple Technical Limitation). That is probably why the app has to stay available, but non functional.
