UPS is now accepting Apple Pay

Being an Apple Pay user has gotten more and more interesting for the past couple of years due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As of now, it would appear as though United Parcel Service (UPS) is now accepting Apple Pay in its stores.

This was confirmed to us thanks to a tip from @ContactlessWiki on Twitter who sent us this picture of one of the card readers at their local UPS Store that is accepting Apple Pay. In the picture, it looks like that particular store is using Ingenico iPP350 card readers at its registers.

You can also see on the screen of the card reader that there is an Apple Pay icon that indicates that the card reader, as well as UPS, is accepting the contactless payment method, as well as the UPS Store icon in the bottom-right-corner of said screen.

What makes this even more interesting is it makes it so here in the U.S., every major parcel/mail delivery service does accept Apple Pay. This includes both FedEx (in its stores) and USPS (online only right now).

Apple Pay support may not be at all UPS Stores at this time, but it is something to watch out for in the upcoming weeks and months from now.
