Apple has introduced its next generation Apple Silicon chip for the Mac lineup – the M2 chip, and Apple bringing it to the world’s most popular laptops – the MacBook Air with an all-new design and the 13-inch MacBook Pro with the same design as before.

If you look at the products’ spec page, one feature that Apple brings to two of its newest laptops is support for high-impedance headphones on the headphone jack. Originally introduced on the higher-end 14-inch & 16-inch MacBook Pros, the headphone jack with this support is a huge benefit for power headphone users who need higher audio levels.

This is the first time the MacBook Air and the 13-inch Pro has this support, so it’s great to see that this flagship feature make its way to the lower-end models. Both of these machines will be available next month. The Air starts at $1199, and the 13″ Pro starts at $1299.
