It has been reported by MacRumors that the end of the Apple Watch 3 could be finally coming.
Apple appears to be showing a low stock of that version of its smartwatch right before its September 2022 event, which is scheduled for Wednesday, September 7. It has also been said that Apple could be unveiling new versions of the Apple Watch at its event this week, with those being the rumored Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Pro.
watchOS 9 will not support the Apple Watch Series 3, with that version of watchOS set to likely be released sometime this fall. We can expect the new version to be released sometime this month or in October that will conincide with the release of the new Apple Watch models.
As it stands right now, the Apple Watch Series 3 in the U.S. only has one model out of stock, but 3/4 models of the watch are sold out and unavailable in Australia and U.K.
The Apple Watch Series 3 was released in September 2017 and is currently Apple’s oldest version of the smartwatch on the market.
