Just days away from now, Apple will officially announce the highly anticipated lineup of iPhone 14 devices in its Far Out special event on September 7. Another product launch to look up for are the Apple Watch Series 8 device. Now, it seems that yet another product will make its long-awaited debut – AirPods Pro 2.
Days ahead of the event, in his latest edition of the Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg stated on Sunday that Apple will unveil the new AirPods Pro during the special keynote, saying “I reported last year that new AirPods Pro would arrive in 2022, and now I’m told that Wednesday will be their big unveiling.”
The second-generation AirPods Pro has been rumored to highlight a massive refresh to the AirPods lineup. Several features to include will keep the earbuds up to date with Apple’s latest audio technology found in its software such as Lossless Music and Spatial Audio. An H2 chip will be the potential for improved latency and sound quality.
Last May, Gurman reported that the Cupertino-based giant will debut the new earbuds this fall, he also noted that new colors for AirPods Max are planned to show up such as Red, Yellow, or Purple as these colors Apple has a history of adding in products such as the iPhone and the iMac.
Numerous rumors cited that Apple would release a new AirPods Pro product in 2022, Twitter user @FronTron claimed that the company is debuting the product during the third quarter of this year. Earlier this year, reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo stated that AirPods Pro 2 will arrive with Lossless Audio as well as a sound-emitting case.
The current AirPods Pro launched back in October 2019, the earbuds feature a new design for each earbud, wireless charging case, active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and interchangeable silicone tips.
