Xbox fans and Apple Music subscribers rejoice! At last, Apple Music is officially available for Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X users via an app download from the Microsoft Store.
The new Apple Music app for Xbox allows subscribers to listen to music while they drive around Mexico in Forza Horizon 5 or conquer enemies in Halo: Infinite. As noted by Reddit users, music will play in the background similar to Spotify in the past.
The app is visually no different from Apple’s devices like the Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K. You can easily navigate different menus using the top navigation bar or click the search button to look for that perfect playlist to speed through those speed cameras.
Apple Music recently surpassed 100 million songs, so there’s plenty of music to get you through even the most intense gaming sessions. The music streaming platform finally joins competitors like Spotify, which had an Xbox app for years.
Another music app from Apple rumored to be in development is “Apple Classical” which was discovered in a code on iOS 15.5. The new app is likely to focus on classical music following Apple’s acquisition of Primephonic in August 2021.
