CARROT Weather announced today that it has added support for Live Activities to its app.

This became available on its update that was released to the public yesterday and is a part of Version 5.8.3.

Here are the notes from the developer about the update:

“It’s nearly Halloween, meatbags! And while you’ve been busy eating most of the candy you’re supposed to put out for trick or treaters, I’ve been hard at work adding Live Activity support to your favorite weather app. If you open me up when rain is expected to start in the
next hour, then my Live Activity will let you track the storm’s approach from the Dynamic Island (on the iPhone 14 Pro) and the Lock Screen. Premium membership required.”

In order for Live Activities to work on your iPhone, you will have to have iOS 16.1 or newer to use that feature.

This update comes just a little over a month after it got support for Lock Screen widgets in iOS 16 on the iPhone.

CARROT Weather is a free app in the App Store and is available on the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac.
