Before the end of the year, it appears as though Apple Pay could be launching in South Korea any day.
On Tuesday, November 28, a tweet was posted by @TommyBoiiiiii that showed in a local taxi cab in South Korea an ad for Apple Pay support over there. The date of the launch in the ad shows November 30 as the launch date for it, which was yesterday.

Apple has also updated its terms of service that mentions the use of Apple Pay support in Korea.
In September, it has been reported that Apple was in the final stage of discussions with Hyundai Card to begin accepting Apple Pay as a payment method. Acceptance and launch of it was said to be happening by the end of 2022, with another mention that Hyundai Card could be the financial institution with one-year exclusivity of Apple Pay support there for its customers.
Other financial institutions are said to get support for Apple Pay in late-2023.
