Fantastical gets support for Live Activities in new update

Yesterday, a new update for the popular Fantastical calendar app in the App Store was released and in it was a feature that many iPhone 14 Pro users will like.

With Version 3.7.7 of the app, it adds the ability for Live Actives for iPhone 14 Pro users.

What the Live Activities feature is in iOS 16 is that it gives users the ability to see live updates from apps right from their Lock Screen. An example of this is through apps like the Uber app where after you make a purchase for a drive, it shows you the status of the vehicle picking you up on your Lock Screen.

Another one is CARROT Weather which shows you when it is precipitating outside, how much is expected to fall, and when said precipitation is expected to end.

Here are the release notes from the developers of the app, Flexibits:

“Live Activities and Dynamic Island for upcoming events on iPhone 14 Pro! Start a live activity for events that are coming up in the next hour from an event’s notification or details. You can also automatically start live activities for upcoming events in Fantastical’s Alerts & Notifications settings.”

Additionally, here are the other updates that have been packed into this app.
