Good news for Sonos users! Yesterday, the company released its update 15.2, which enabled the Spatial Audio feature for select speakers and sound bars.

The update includes playback of Dolby Atmos music through Sonos products that support spatial audio, such as:

  • Arc,
  • Arc SL
  • Beam (Gen 2)
  • Era 300.

The feature requires a streaming service that supports it. Currently, only Apple Music and Amazon Prime Music offer support for Dolby Atmos on Sonos Speakers. Additionally, the speaker needs to be connected to a WiFi network. When playing Dolby Atmos Music from a supported music service, the Sonos app will display a Dolby Atmos badge on the Now Playing screen.

For iPhone users, at least iOS 14 or later is required to take advantage of this new feature. Thanks to this update, users will have a new way to listen to their music.
