El Salvador and Guatemala get Apple Pay support

Avatar for David Becker

As of last week, both El Salvador and Guatemala have suppport for Apple Pay.

Residents in that area that use BAC Credomatic and Promerica financial institutions will have access to using Apple Pay from their iPhone or Apple Watch. Banco G&T and Banco Industrial in Guatemala do additionally have support for making purchases in stores or online.

Customers of any of those banks can add their debit or credit cards to their iPhones by simply opening up the Wallet app and adding their cards there. By doing so will enable usage on their iPhone and Apple Watch.

The expansion of Apple Pay into El Salvador and Guantemala comes just weeks after Apple Pay got support in South Korea.
