Do you remember the good old days when you could gift-wrap an Apple device from the Apple Online Store? When you select that option upon checkout, gift-wrapped products from Apple would come in a “signature” white box with a red ribbon and a greeting card that enclosed a personal message. That option had been available for online customers for years as an additional charge or free of charge for occasional promotions.

Now, it appears that Apple has discontinued both options for gift-wrapping and including a gift message on the order’s packing slip from its online store across the U.S. and several other countries like Canada, Australia, and New Zealand as Apple pulled references to gift-wrapping from its website this week.

If you still want to further personalize your Apple products from the online store to make the order special, Apple still offers free personalized engraving for iPads, AirPods, Beats products, AirTag, and second-generation Apple Pencil.

The reason for Apple to discontinue this gift-wrapping option remains unclear, but with many places to order Apple products online, it seems that customers would rather look for sales on Apple devices elsewhere to save money. This gift-wrapping option will certainly be missed by long-time Apple users who loved to personalize their orders that way.
