DoorDash announced today that it has launched its very own brand-new app for CarPlay for its drivers.

Austin Haugen, vice president of Dasher and logistics product, stated that it does its best to listen to its drivers and to make the overall Dashing experience better.

“We’re always looking for ways to make dashing even better, even easier, and even more intuitive,” he said. Apple CarPlay is one of our most highly requested features among the Dasher community, because it allows them to dash using the same technology many of them use on a daily basis. We’re thrilled to bring this integration to life and eager to hear feedback from Dashers as we scale.”

In order for Dashers to use CarPlay, they will have to be using a vehicle with the feature embedded with it or an external display that supports it and have the app on their iPhone.

DoorDash said the CarPlay app will be tested in select markets for now and that it will be available to all Dashers “in the coming months.”
