Apple is now selling refurbished AirPods (3rd generation) in their online store, marking the very first time Apple has sold a refurbished device from this category. Refurbished devices are either pre-opened or have had an issue but were repaired, undergoing a thorough cleaning process and inspection. The box includes the refurbished AirPods, MagSafe Charging Case, Lightning to USB-C Cable, and documentation.
The third-generation AirPods feature Spatial Audio compatibility, a sweat and water resistance rating of IPX4, six hours of battery life with a single charge, up to 30 hours of listening time with the case, and more.
Refurbished devices come with a one-year warranty, similar to any other Apple product, and customers have the option to purchase AppleCare+ for the device.
Starting at $139, the refurbished AirPods offer two options: a lightning charging case or the MagSafe Charging case for $149. The regular price for the AirPods (3rd gen) is $169 and $179 respectively, giving a discount of $30 for both variants.
