While the program will not be broadcast on PBS this year, the positive news for fans is they will be able to stream the program completely free this weekend.
In order to stream the classic Peanuts Halloween special “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” for free this weekend, all the user has to do is have a good internet connection and have use a device that has the Apple TV app on it.
From there, the user can open the app, search for the special, and stream it.
Apple’s free period for streaming “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” goes between October 21-22. After that, the only people who will be able to stream the special will be those who have subscriptions to Apple TV+. The streaming service currently costs $6.99 a month.
The company does have plans to have free days to stream the Thanksgiving and Christmas Charlie Brown specials this year. Apple also seems to have worked with Kellogg’s in order to help fans get one-month free trials of Apple TV+ by purchasing the Charlie Brown-themed cereal at grocery stores.
