Apple has started rolling out iOS 17.1.1 and iPadOS 17.1.1 to the public with important bug fixes. These updates come two weeks after the release of iOS 17.1 and iPadOS 17.1 which debuted with AirDrop over Internet, New Music Features, and more.

According to Apple’s Release Notes, “This update provides bug fixes for your iPhone including:

– In rare circumstances, Apple Pay and other NFC features may become unavailable on iPhone 15 models after wireless charging in certain cars
– Weather Lock Screen widget may not correctly display snow”

If you are a beta tester and facing any of these issues, we can expect them to be fixed in the next beta of iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2.

There also seem to be no security updates in these versions as Apple’s Support page says “This update has no published CVE entries.”

Both these issues mentioned in the release notes weren’t uncommon as several users have been posting about them on X (formerly Twitter). It is highly recommended to update your iPhone & iPad to the latest software for the best experience. We would also recommend you to update your apps to their latest versions on the App Store as some third-party apps were also causing the iPhone to overheat.
