It has been reported tonight that Apple has begun to pause its advertising on X, which was formerly Twitter.

According to Axios, the reason behind this is due to X CEO Elon Musk posting of antisemitic posts and conspiracy theories on the social media platform. Axios’ sources regarding this have been anonymous.

Axios also said that IBM made a similar move earlier, along with Amazon and Oracle.

The whole reason behind this is the following, as said by Axios.

“Musk faced backlash for endorsing an antisemitic post Wednesday, as 164 Jewish rabbis and activists upped their call to Apple, Google, Amazon and Disney to stop advertising on X, and for Apple and Google to remove it from their platforms.”

Musk had earlier posts this week that caused controversy too.

“Musk posted to X on Wednesday ‘[y]ou have said the actual truth’ in response to an X post that claimed Jewish communities support ‘dialectical hatred against whites.’”

It is unknown how long Apple will continue is cease of advertising on X.
