Along with iOS 17.2 getting new apps and features like the new Apple Journal app and spatial video capture, it did get some big improvements in the widget department.

The Apple Weather app did get improved with three new widgets.

These new widgets are the following:

  • Details: This will include information such as the change of precipitation, the high and low temperatures for the day, wind speed, and feels like temperature.

  • Daily Forecast: This one shows the high and low temp for the day, as well as the high and low temperatures for the rest of the week with a visual of what the weather will be like for that day (sunny, cloud, partly cloudy, snow, rain, etc).

  • Sunrise and Sunset: It does exactly what it says by providing the time with the sun will rise and set each day.

Apple has made major improvements over the last couple of years to its Weather app ever since it bought out Dark Sky Weather in 2020, which has included additions like a radar, timely severe weather notifications, advanced weather data, and other features too.
