Today’s a big day for the right-to-repair users because today, Apple has announced that it has expanded its Self Service Repair Program, which was launched last year, to cover both the iPhone 15 series and Mac models with an M2-series chip. Additionally, the company has also made this program available in even more European countries:
- Croatia
- Denmark
- Greece
- Netherlands
- Portugal
- Switzerland
For users with lots of experience in repairing Apple products, Apple also launched the “Apple Diagnostics for Self Service Repair” for iPhones and Macs. It’s now available in the U.S., and it will also be available in Europe starting next year. Those troubleshooting sessions will provide guidance to customers on how to diagnose which parts to repair and test for optimized functionality in the same way that Apple Authorized Service Providers do.
With Apple’s Self Service Repair program, customers will be able to repair their own Apple devices at their own homes without bringing their devices to either an Apple Store or an Authorized Apple Reseller. All they need to do is review the repair manuals and then head to the Self Service Repair Store to order the required parts.
