Vision Pro won’t be available to users until February 2, but according to Bloomberg, an internal memo has been sent out this week that Apple is giving a special 25% discount on the upcoming spatial computer to its employees. The Vision Pro currently retails for $3,499, which is the starting price for the base configuration with 256GB of storage. So, a 25% discount means a starting price of approximately $2,624 before tax.

Apple employees have received a number of discounts in the past. For example, they received a 50% discount on new products when they first launched such as the HomePod and the Apple Watch. Every three years, those employees will also receive a $500 credit toward a Mac, but now, they can also use that credit toward the Vision Pro, allowing them to save even more money given the very steep price.

Additionally, if they already purchased a Vision Pro with the necessary prescription lens, Apple will reimburse the cost of that lens, so this will be a huge win for employees who are working at Apple. Therefore, Apple employees will see even more benefits, especially towards buying the futuristic headset.

Vision Pro, powered by the M2 and R1 chips, starts at $3,499 with 256GB of storage and 16GB of unified memory. Vision Pro is also available with 512GB of storage ($3,699) and 1TB of storage ($3,899). Vision Pro includes several accessories in the box such as the special branded Polishing Cloth. You can pre-order today, and availability will start on Friday, February 2. You’ll need a device with Face ID to order one so that it can determine the right sizing for the headband.
