For those that have been looking for a new streaming service to try out and perhaps live in the Boston area, Local TV+ might have just made another reason to try them out.

Local TV+ essentially allows for users to stream their local ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CW, and PBS stations for free. The service is currently taking donations and is completely free to users.

The service is essentially trying to similarly do what Locast used to do before Locast was shut down due to multiple lawsuits by major broadcasters.

Now in Version 1.0 of the app, the app has support for Sign In with Apple.

This means users can tap on the Sign In with Apple button and log in with the email they have listed there, as well as have the option to hide their email when making an account.

Local TV+’s app is currently still in beta which is done through TestFlight. It is also only available on the iPhone at this time, but there is said to be a version for the Apple TV 4K that is in the works too.
