Walmart announced today that it will be selling the Apple M1 MacBook Air online and in a select number of Walmart retail stores in the days to come.

When it comes to the price of the M1 MacBook Air, it is coming in at the adequate price of just $699. Walmart has also said that these are brand new M1 MacBook Airs, therefore, they are not previously used or refurbished. They will be available in Silver, Gold, and Space Gray.

By doing this, it is the first time that customers can purchase a MacBook directly from Walmart, whereas previously they had to go through other retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon, and other retailers.

The M1 MacBook Air was originally released in November 2020, sold for $699, and came with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.

However, Apple has discontinued this M1 MacBook Air, but the laptop should still receive macOS updates for years to come. Apple simply is no longer selling them on its end anymore.

Apple’s newest version of the MacBook Air now has the M3 chip and starts at $1099 and was released earlier this month. The company also sells the M2 MacBook Air starting at $999.
