Here’s what Apple Intelligence can do

Apple has just announced a grand amount of new features across all of their platforms, including Apple Intelligence. This new feature will be mostly on-device with more complex requests being processed on Apple’s cloud. Apple claims that this data will not be stored on their servers.

According to Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, “We’re thrilled to introduce a new chapter in Apple innovation. Apple Intelligence will transform what users can do with our products ”” and what our products can do for our users,”. “Our unique approach combines generative AI with a user’s personal context to deliver truly helpful intelligence. And it can access that information in a completely private and secure way to help users do the things that matter most to them. This is AI as only Apple can deliver it, and we can’t wait for users to experience what it can do.”

Here are some of the new features coming to compatible iPhones, iPads, and Macs with Apple Intelligence:

1. Mail Priority: Users will be able to view the most important emails on the top of the page inside of a Priority window with the help of Apple Intelligence.

2. Notification Priority: With the help of Apple Intelligence, your device will be able to analyze the personal context of your notifications, thus delivering the notifications that require your attention immediately on the top inside of a Priority window.

3. Phone and Notes Transcription: Users will be able to record, transcribe, and summarize with Apple Intelligence. On Phone, Participants in the call are obviously notified of the said recording.

4. Genmoji: Genmoji redefines digital expression, empowering users to craft personalized emoji by typing descriptions. From custom creations to representations of friends and family based on photos, Genmoji adds a new layer of creativity to messaging. Whether used inline or shared as stickers or reactions, it promises to revolutionize the way we communicate online.

5. AI Photo Features: Users will be able to remove subjects in photos, edit images, and create memory movies with the power of Apple Intelligence.

Apple Intelligence is free for users, and will be available in beta as part of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia this fall in English. Some features, software platforms, and additional languages will come over the course of the next year according to the company. Apple Intelligence will be available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad and Mac with M1 and later, with Siri and device language set to U.S. English.
