The summer traveling season is upon us and whether you’re taking a week-long or a shorter multi-day trip somewhere, Apple Pay is a great payment method for making those vacation purchases.
One of the reasons that I prefer using Apple Pay out of pretty much every payment method out there is its high-level security and encryption. I have never liked the idea of inserting my debit card into a gas pump at a gas station, and with gas stations across the country adding more contactless and tap to pay options at the pump, it makes it much easier for me to make my gas purchases, get my fuel, and not have to worry about my card getting skimmed during the purchase.
I don’t even like inserting the chip of my physical card in the card reader at a grocery store or other business. It just feels much sketchier now.
However, the same can be said when using hotel Wi-Fi. It has always been recommended that those who do online shopping while in a hotel should not make purchases or be typing in credit/debit card numbers on said Wi-Fi since they are a security issue.
Some people say to use services like VPNs while on hotel Wi-Fi for your own privacy and security, but with using Apple Pay as your payment method, you don’t have to worry about that. By using Apple Pay, your card info and privacy is always safe and encrypted.
With using Apple Pay during travels and vacations, life is easier and simpler, and less stressful without the looming thought of worrying about your card information getting scammed.
I hope this helps you during your travels over the summer this year since Apple Pay is a fantastic way to pay for items in-person and online, and I hope it makes your experiences better.
