It has been reported by a Hungarian news source that Apple Pay users in Hungary have been an assortment of random charges on their cards through Apple Pay. These are purchases that the Apple Pay users themselves are not making.

The issue seems to be spread out all throughout banks all across Hungary. Charges are said to be several times in a row and it has been reported that one user saw nearly $1,500 USD charged to his account over the course of 74 transactions.

While the Hungarian news source has said that it is getting clobbered with requests for help, the banks have stated that the issue seems to be coming from Apple.

Raiffeisen Bank has announced on its website that it is working with Apple to assist with the plaguing issue.

“We inform our customers that due to a technical problem with an external partner, the bank cards of some of our customers may have been incorrectly charged by the Apple App Store. Our colleagues have contacted Apple officials, the problem is being resolved.”
