Apple Music is now available for Rivian vehicles with Spatial Audio support

It was reported yesterday that Rivian electric vehicles now have access to Apple Music.

The way that Rivian users are able to get access to Apple Music does come with a cost which requires users to pay for Rivian’s Connect+ subscription that costs $14.99 a month or $149.99 a year. Users do additionally get a 60-day free trial of Connect+ with the purchase of a Rivian vehicle.

“With Connect+, Rivian drivers with an Apple Music subscription can stream a library of over 100 million songs and thousands of playlists from anywhere, always ad-free. Thanks to a significant collaboration between the teams at Apple and Rivian, this experience is deeply integrated into our software platform, and enables listeners to easily search and browse through Apple Music’s catalog and playlists, enjoy access to its global live-streaming radio stations and more.”

On top of that, with access to Apple Music via Rivian’s Connect+, it will allow for users to listen to their music with Spatial Audio.

With all of that said, Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe said last month there are no plans at this time of adding Apple CarPlay to its vehicles.
