The Apple Watch Ultra 2 did not see its third generation today, but Apple did give fans and consumers another color, and a significant one at that.
During its September 2024 event today, the company announced and unveiled a black titanium Apple Watch Ultra 2.
This version of the Apple Watch is more so designed and catered to the athletes and those that tend to find themselves needing a more durable smartwatch.
With it, Apple includes a 36-hour battery which can be as high as 72 hours when on Low Power Mode, “the most accurate GPS in a sports watch,” and “the brightest screen” the company has ever designed.
On top of that, this new version of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 does come with a sleep apnea tracker and a side speaker for playing audio from it without the need for accessories like AirPods.
Consumers can pre-order this new Apple Watch Ultra 2 today which starts at $799 and it will be released on Friday, September 20. That also includes the Apple Watch Hermes Ultra 2 and new Titanium Milanese Loop.
Those that pre-order with Apple Card will get 3% in Daily Cash on their purchase too.
Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer, said this about the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and its newest version.
“Apple Watch Ultra 2 is the ultimate sports watch, with features that support athletes at every level of their training and performance ”” and throughout their day and night,” he said. “The breakthrough insights in watchOS 11 make Apple Watch Ultra 2 even more powerful, and it’s now available in a stunning satin-black titanium finish users will love for its striking look and durability.”
Previously, the only color the Apple Watch Ultra 2 was available in was a color Apple called “Natural.” However, it has now added more variety to the Apple Watch Ultra lineup with the new black titanium color.
