Apple today has released an update to the Apple Sports app and brought Live Activities support and improvements to the app. This comes after Apple has released the app over six months ago. The app will also get support for iOS 18 and watchOS 11 which is expected to release publicly later today.
Live Activities is a feature on iPhones that display up-to-date information from apps on the Lock Screen, in StandBy, and in the Dynamic Island. It allow users to see the progress of a task or event without unlocking their phone. Live Activities support in the Apple Sports may have been the most requested feature since the release of the app.
