Apple has started rolling out visionOS 2.0.1 (22N342) to the public with important bug fixes for the Apple Vision Pro. This update comes two weeks after the release of visionOS 2.0 which debuted with Travel Mode, Guest User Mode, and more. Apple keeps refining the software experience with every 2.x.x update whilst also fixing security issues.

According to the Release Notes:

“This update provides important bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users.

  • YouTube video player in Safari may freeze Safari
  • Web Extension data may be lost after updating to visionOS 2
  • Messages may unexpectedly quit when replying to a message with a shared Apple Watch face

Similar to macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 and watchOS 11.0.1, Apple has yet to publish CVE entries for visionOS 2.0.1, and it’s possible that this does not contain any other security fixes as visionOS 2.0 addressed 15 security vulnerabilities.

It is highly recommended to update your Apple Vision Pro to the latest software for the best experience. Did you find any new changes in this update?
