With the college football season coming to an end by early January next year, college basketball will be the focus for many Americans and sports fans out there.
The good news is there will be several games available next month for fans to stream and do so in 4K.
Here is a list of those games:
- January 2: Purdue vs. Minnesota – 8 p.m. ET on FS1
- January 3: Iowa vs. Wisconsin – 7 p.m. ET on FS1
- January 7: St. John’s vs. Xavier – 6:30 p.m. ET on FS1
- January 14: Villanova vs. Xavier – 6:30 p.m. ET on FS1
- January 15: Seton Hall vs. Butler – 7 p.m. ET on FS1
- January 21: Creighton vs. DePaul – 9 p.m. ET on FS1
- January 23: Maryland vs. Illinois – 9 p.m. ET on FS1
- January 27: Iowa vs. Ohio State – 8 p.m. ET on FS1
- January 28: Marquette vs. Butler – 8:30 p.m. ET on FS1
When it comes to actually streaming those FS1 games live in 4K, fans will have to be subscribed to a live TV streaming service such as YouTube TV, FuboTV, DirecTV Stream, or Sling TV, which all will have a FOX & FS1 4K channels.
Those that have YouTube TV will also need to have the 4K Plus add-on for an additional $9.99 a month.
Another way to stream these basketball games live in 4K and do so for free is to use the FOX Sports app on the Apple TV 4K. Users will have to sign in using valid TV provider credentials, but once that is done, they will be able to stream the games in 4K in the app at no additional cost to them.
Historically speaking, the FOX Sports broadcast games available to stream in 4K are typically upscaled from 1080p. You will also need a compatible streaming device like the Apple TV 4K in order to stream these games in 4K.
