Free weekend of Apple TV+ starts today

Avatar for David Becker

Today begins a free weekend of Apple TV+, as Apple is enabling viewers across the country to get some early-year looks into just the type of content Apple releases on its streaming service.

This is completely free to viewers since they will not even have to enter in any credit/debit card info. All they have to do is access the content through the Apple TV app.

Once they are in said Apple TV app, they will be able to access original Apple TV+ shows and movies such as “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” “Shrinking,” “Finch,” “The Family Plan,” and “CODA.”

On top of that, viewers can additionally access seasonal content like “Happy New Year, Charlie Brown,” since Apple does hold the exclusive rights to the Charlie Brown “Peanuts” specials.

The free trial of Apple TV+ begins today and will be available until 11:59 p.m. PT on Sunday, January 5. After the free trial, Apple TV+ is available for $9.99 a month.
