Apple has released iPadOS 17.7.8, a critical security bug fix update for at older iPad models that don’t support iPadOS 18. This release follows iPadOS 17.7.7, which was withdrawn due to issues causing App Store apps to log out repeatedly. The update is available for the 2017 iPad Pro (10.5-inch and 12.9-inch) and the 2018 iPad (sixth-generation).
Users are urged to install iPadOS 17.7.8, as it addresses multiple security vulnerabilities, including fixes for memory corruption and unauthorized access to sensitive data on disk, among other enhancements.
